Emily Kinlaw

After more than a decade in the special education classroom, Emily Kinlaw joined Motivating Systems as an Educational Support Consultant, helping to support other educators in promoting positive learning environments.

It takes a kind, encouraging heart to be successful with diverse learners, and Emily has just such a heart. During her time in the classroom, she delighted in seeing students light up when they overcame obstacles. She understands that it takes relationship-building, advocacy, and collaboration to meet the needs of special education students. These qualities are crucial for building an effective, positive school culture for all students, and that’s what makes Emily an asset to the schools we serve.

A true beach baby, Emily loves the combo of salt air, sea turtles, and a good book. She and her husband enjoy traveling, especially since it comes with the opportunity to try new foods and sample craft beer.  She’s also a competing member of her local Burn Boot Camp – though she doesn’t do any of those crazy things like flipping tires or pulling trucks!
