Nickey Nichols

Nickey comes to us from the “Natural State” (aka Arkansas), where she grew up in a rural area outside of North Little Rock. As one of five children, Nickey began her education during a time of desegregation in her hometown. Instead of attending the school in her neighborhood, she was assigned to another school across town! Nickey’s parents instilled in her a passion for learning and her teachers encouraged and guided her along the way. As a first-generation college student, she attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She began her teaching career in Pulaski County in the same district in which she once was a student. Talk about coming full circle!

Nickey holds a degree and/or certificate in Elementary Education, Social Work, and Special Education. She worked with teachers and students in Arkansas and Texas for 15 years as both a teacher and/or instructional coach. She’s also been a district-level RTI/PBIS Coordinator with more than ten years of experience in working with schools in implementing PBIS. She understands PBIS in the classroom as well as at the district level. That makes her uniquely qualified to be a part of our Product Engagement Team here at PBIS Rewards!
