Investors on Board to Build Better Organizational Relationships
Motivating Systems sits at the junction of motivation and technology. As creators of digital systems bringing relationships and recognition to the forefront, we’ve got big dreams and big plans. Now, we’re partnering with a venture capital organization and other investors to help us realize these goals.
In the Beginning
Motivating Systems grew out of a project begun at parent company Lieberman Technologies. In 2014, Lieberman began working with a middle school to improve their data tracking and reporting in their PBIS system. PBIS – Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports – shifts a traditional approach school discipline by focusing attention on positive behaviors. Unfortunately, PBIS often uses a paper-based system of accounting that can be unwieldy and inaccurate. Lieberman Technologies developed a software package to help this middle school more accurately track and report how their PBIS system was being used. This included a mobile app that made it easier for educators to operate their PBIS program on the fly. The app, called PBIS Rewards, helped the school to improve behavior and discipline. Soon, word-of-mouth interest from schools across the United States led the leadership team at Lieberman Technologies to form Motivating Systems.
Motivating Systems was officially formed on December 29, 2016. Since that time, we have focused on the progressive growth of PBIS Rewards and the development of Workplace Rewards. PBIS Rewards is now in 47 states and seven countries and continues to grow to meet the needs of schools at all levels. Workplace Rewards will bring many of these same principles to business through employee recognition and engagement.
Advancing Our Mission
While Motivating Systems has enjoyed significant growth since 2016, we were excited about the opportunity to partner with investors to pursue increased success. Thanks to multiple investors, including Indianapolis-based venture development group Elevate Ventures, Motivating Systems will be able to further develop and grow our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings.
With the success and growth of PBIS Rewards as a springboard, Motivating Systems seeks to provide the same type of experience for businesses and organizations through the development of Workplace Rewards. As a business-centric system, Workplace Rewards helps organizations to motivate and engage employees through positive reinforcement. The focus on positive behaviors helps create stronger relationships as well as generating motivation among employees. The data generated through Workplace Rewards allows organizations to reinforce and improve specific behaviors by intentionally focusing on positive recognition. A growing body of research indicates that positive employee engagement leads to improved productivity, which in turn creates increased profits.
The investment will allow Motivating Systems to further advance the development of our product line. Additionally, this investment will fund a growing team as well as support expanded marketing, including pursuing international markets. Both PBIS Rewards and Workplace Rewards are in a position to make a significant impact in organizations seeking to improve behavior and productivity.
